With almost 40 years of experience, the Center for Aviation Medicine serves as one of the largest and most experienced aerospace medicine practices in the U.S.
At the center, we perform routine FAA exams, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd class, as well as routine and pre-employment ATC exams, while providing the healthcare guidance pilots and controllers need to stay healthy.
Our office is located on airport property, just one mile from the Greater Pittsburgh International Airport terminal (KPIT) which features on-premises hotel accommodations and transportation.

A special issuance is the FAA’s way of saying that an airman has a medically disqualifying diagnosis, but because the case has been thoroughly vetted and monitored in a fashion that establishes an acceptable level of aeromedical risk, while optimizing aviation safety, the airman may continue to fly while remaining in compliance.
