Founded in 1985, the Center for Aviation Medicine (CAM) has grown to be among the largest practices in the United States devoted exclusively to the practice of aerospace medicine. With almost 40 years of experience, CAM handles some of the most complicated cases in aeromedical certification. CAM is a premier, concierge practice in aviation medicine serving all facets of the aviation community including private, commercial, military and air traffic control. It is the goal of the Center for Aviation Medicine to provide high-quality, consultative aeromedical and other professional services in a timely and cost-effective manner.

The Center’s concierge approach to aviation medicine is unparalleled, offering our brothers and sisters in aviation exceptional mentorship, resources, and assistance in achieving their goals of returning to and remaining in the cockpit.

Our professional staff boasts many years of dual careers as highly experienced healthcare professionals and airline pilots providing a unique perspective and first-hand knowledge of the certification needs of pilots, a matter of great importance to our colleagues who make their living flying airplanes. We speak the same language. Our credibility stems from a long history and proven track record of successful outcomes.

Women In Aviation

At the Center for Aviation Medicine, we are dedicated to providing women in aviation with the encouragement, empowerment, and care they need to succeed. Pilots who are women have different medical concerns than men and often are subjected to a lack of sensitivity when it comes to relevant aeromedical health concerns.

Our experienced staff provides women with the care they can count on in order to obtain and maintain their medical certification. We understand the complexities of women’s health issues and how they can affect the job of being a pilot. From navigating pregnancy while flying and other health concerns, we are experienced in providing women with the knowledge they need to succeed.

We are proud to have worked with many women in aviation who serve as trusted mentors and a source of information for medical and career-based issues that many women who are pilots encounter.
